A method for adjusting bias in a cassette duplicator is described. Existing Dolby HX-Pro circuitry is used to rapidly vary bias while observing the effect on tape sensitivity in real time. An instrument has been designed which generates the required signals and displays the sensitivity versus bias curve. A digital readout shows the sensitivity at the adjustment point compared to the peak.
