Computer-Controlled, Wireless Distributed Digital Audio in Large Facilities: An Overview and Case Study

An unusual computer-controlled digital wireless installation is in progress whose concept and implementation would have been previously impossible. The system to be installed is at the McDonnell Douglas Aerospace main facility in St. Louis. This sytem will finally attain the flexibility, intelligibility, fault tolerance, disaster survivability, security, and audio quality that have eluded the facilities for decades.
