Product compliance to EMI specifications will soon be required by law in all EEC countries.: In order to prove compliance, manufacturers or suppliers of electrical goods will inevitably have to subject their product to EMI measurement at some stage. How these measurements are made is explained in European Specifications EN55011 to 22. What is not explained is how easy or difficult various tests can be, and what pitfalls await the unwary.
