Document Thumbnail

The use of digital audio workstations, particularly in audio for video and film applications has become increasingly widespread. The benefits in terms of improved efficiency and added creativity are widely known and accepted. One of the ways of capitalizing further on this revolution would be the ability to link workstations together in order that file information, both audio and set-up data, could be rapidly transferred from one device to another. The following paper looks at the need for networking, the various options being considered by manufacturers are discussed and the paper concludes with an analysis of user requirements.
