Audio System Design

Document Thumbnail

Specifying the highest quality equipment for a sound system, designing superb building acoustics and hiring well trained operators will not in themselves achieve satisfactory and reliable performance. First, the installation must be functional and -user friendly- or no matter how good otherwise, it will be a failure. Second, it is necessary to ensure that all items of equipment are mutually compatible. Third, all kinds of details must be considered such as: wiring, earthing, monitoring, communications, headroom and system alignment, the accommodation of portable or touring equipment and serviceability. This paper highlights potential problems and some of the solutions to them when creating a good sound system design.
