The optical videodisc is being expected as a medium which can provide both high quality picture and sound. At first in this paper, the structure and principles of LV/CD combination player have been reviewed. Then, how the audio signals are reproduced by an optical videodisc player has been discussed. Furthermore, the Dolby Surround processor for the optical videodisc has been presented.
