This paper reviews reverberation enhancement systems and their associated problems. Consideration is given to the methods and principles employed together with comments relating to subjective and objective data. The effect of coloration and system stability is also discussed together with means of overcoming these problems. Finally, the latest systems are briefly introduced including an outline of their principles of operation.
