This paper reports on a practical case study from Tokyo University of Technology, which has more than 20 years of experience in education and research in game development, a field in which there are few examples in Japan. One of the factors that has contributed to the high regard in which our educational programs are held by the partner universities in these international collaborations is that the team always includes a faculty member with expertise in music composition, game sound design, and audio implementation. Although these academic results have only been published in Japanese, there have been more than 20 of them over the past 10 years, including those with and without peer review. Through 20 years of game development education, 10 years of game sound education, and five years of game audio education, two sound designers, two game sound programmers, two game planners, and one technical audio designer have entered the industry as new graduates. The number of graduates more than doubled if we include those who entered the game industry after changing careers from IT and other industries.
