This paper presents the main concepts associated with audio effects and their implementation in the analog form. Block diagrams are presented in addition to practical considerations. This text serves as the bases for designers to create their own circuits. This content is used in an elective discipline at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
