Multicore SOC processors have become a necessity in today’s OEM automotive audio systems, which are increasingly tasked with new duties such as voice recognition, road noise cancellation and engine sound enhancement. Yet these processors are still relatively new, and many engineers are unsure how to evaluate them and optimize their performance. This presentation would analyze the performance of some leading multicore SOCs, explain how their performance can be best evaluated, and demonstrate some methods for achieving maximum performance from multicore SOCs in automotive applications.
