In the current digital age, evidence is so often and easily manipulated using computer software or created with little knowledge of the origins of the recording. One method to authenticate a recording is through the use of the ENF comparison method. This requires the construction of an ENF database which involves the use of a P.C and backup storage device located within the locality in which ENF data is being recorded. This creates restrictions as to the regions that the probes can be placed and databases built. This paper offers an approach using a Raspberry Pi micro-computer and an encrypted, private cloud server, which resolves the problems through being small, low cost and accessed remotely.
