An overview of the Mixing Techniques and Technologies course currently offered at Middle Tennessee State University, which was designed to help students develop core conceptual and technological competencies regarding the art and science of audio mixing techniques. The presentation at the AES Education Conference will include an overview of the course’s topics, assignments and materials as well as review of mixing approaches and materials that connect with students to develop a more solid foundation by focusing on fundamental skills and the value of deliberate practice.
