Covert recording of newly arrested suspects yields fertile results. Suspects cannot resist "getting their stories straight." Advanced recording techniques and equipment make the acquisition easier and more decipherable. Enhancement using new forensic audio hardware and software vastly improves intelligibility. Diagrams of typical workflows are presented.
