In music systems system identification of linear loudspeaker parameters can be done online transducer-less using the voice coil current as feedback from the loudspeaker. In this work a FIR model is tested using musical signals both in simulation models and with a loudspeaker unit. The approach can find the voice coil resistance, the resonance frequency and the damping factor. Considerations about the voice coil temperature are made.
