In this paper we present error resilient indexing algorithms for rectangular lattice truncations. Different aspects, such as degradation in the presence of channel bit errors, error detection capabilities and possibilities for concealment are studied and compared for the proposed methods. The factorization of the index provides good error resilience properties and scalability at the index level, which enables mechanisms of error protection. The indexing algorithms are tested on the adequate quantization tools of spectral data within an Advanced Audio Coding framework.
