In the field of development of modern spatial sound-systems it becomes more and more important to verify the quality of the sound reproduction not only in subjective but also in an objective manner. In difference to software simulations a measurement of room impuls responses (IR) is able to take into account all the influences like the loudspeaker directivity patterns and the direction depending influence coming from the reproduction room etc. This paper describes a system capable of measuring the soundfield over an extensive listening area.
