Protecting Music -Putting the Worm Back in the Can

Music is being copied more than ever, in ways that are very damaging. Market research is now showing the extent and impact of this copying . Responses from the recording industry have included the use of copy protection technologies on Compact Discs. These appear to be both effective and a responsible, proportionate response . Other technologies show hope in the long term.
