This paper describes an approach for natural sound recording of multichannel audio, such as classical music recording in a concert hall. The concept of multichannel sound recording using a "Layered Multichannel Sound Recording Array" is proposed and discussed. Practical recording techniques to reproduce the spatial impression are also described in detail.
