Practical Surround-Sound-Production - Part 2: TV-Documentaries

Document Thumbnail

According to the experiences of the author, 3/2-Multichannel-audio has a huge potential for TV-documentaries. As these very often deal with visually and acousti-cally interesting places the extended possibilities to convey their acoustic "footprint" is of great value. A convincing representation of the soundfield on location (it may even be "realistic") being the obvious advantage, nevertheless Multichannel-audio enhan-ces also non-realistic teamwork with visual content. The second part of the joint workshop "Practical Surround-Sound-Production" will examine the various steps from recording on location until the final mixing stage.
