A new audio file structure has been developed to create a mediate layer between raw PCM audio and the binary-coded, highly redundant data contained by the storage media. This file structure, together with the unique scrambling procedure called transposition of n-dimensional blocks, offers high resistance against coherent data loss, versatile error detection and restoration. By storing audio material in this format data corruption results in damage of quality and not of quantity.
