Resynchronisation Of Multiple Audio Sources

Document Thumbnail

This paper concerns the synchronisation of multiple copies of a degraded audio source. Typically this may be required prior to applying a multi-channel restoration algorithm to more than one copy of,for example, a vinyl disc. The requirement thatmultiple sources be realigned to sub-sample accuracy is justified. Methods for estimating the time offsets are compared and a new robust Bayesian algorithm is presented. Finally a mechanism for performing the signal resampling itself is outlined.
